This feminine Polynesian tattoo for the back was designed for Terryn.
We kept an hibiscus flower central and placed a turtle next to it as they remind her of her two aunties, and we added two frangipani flowers to represent femininity and safe shelter.
Below the turtle there is a stylized shark, and we placed a manta on a side of the hibiscus (a symbol of beauty, elegance, and freedom) with a lÅkahi in it to symbolize the harmony and freedom she feels in the sea, while the lower end of the tattoo includes a stylized mermaid tail.
Other elements are koru for new beginnings, shark teeth and octopus tentacles for strength and adaptability, and a sun shaped by mountains for joy and stability, while the two chasing birds symbolize support always granted to the loved ones.
