The sun shaped by mountains with a Marquesan cross in it is a symbol of joy, stability, and harmony, and we placed dots between the mountains to symbolize islands and importance.

The whale represents nurturing, family, and power, and we placed a maorigram of his family name in it, with braids for unity.

The people represent the community while the fish hook is for prosperity and sharing, and shark teeth symbolize strength, adaptability, and protection in water.
