This Polynesian half sleeve and shoulder blade tattoo was prepared for Ercole.
At the center of the shoulder there is a turtle, symbolizing the
importance of family.
It swims toward the future because its importance will remain forever,
and on its shell we placed a frangipani and a koru to symbolize the
children, surrounded by two maorigrams of their names (Matteo and Greta).
The front flippers are tiki for protection, the lower part of the shell
includes Kena as a symbol of the warrior who protects them, and the rear
flippers are shells for affection and loyal love.
Around the head of the turtle, the sun made of shark teeth and mountains
symbolizes joy, eternity, protection, and stability.
On the sides of the turtle there are a dolphin (joy) and a gecko (health, luck). In between them, the flax leaves (family unity) are protected by spearheads and octopus tentacles (strength, tenacity, and adaptability).
The stepping stones at the base symbolize all that he has learned, and the ahuahu o Mataora motif symbolizes the steps taken along the path to success.
The all-seeing eye at the top keeps all evil away, the braid forming a twist symbolizes eternal union, and the coconut leaves prosperity.
On the shoulder blade, we included Ercole’s story, from the difficulties
faced (the path of Kamehameha) with strength and tenacity (spearheads,
tentacles, and hammerhead shark with the warrior inside) to reaching freedom
(the manta) and prosperity (the fish hook and the fish).
The mere represents the chief, respect, and status, the fish scales protection, and the dog spine loyalty.
At the top, the ancestors watch over his path.
