This feminine Polynesian mixed tattoo was prepared for Marta.
The main elements are the star and the peony, representing her daughter and grandmother. The start to symbolize the nights passed with her daughter as a baby reading tales and singing her songs, and the peony to remember the flowers grown by her grandmother in the family garden, with symbols for ancestors next to it.
Within the star we added a koru and a frangipani flower for her daughter, a seashell (faithful love), and tiki hand and eye for protection, while a braid for family unity and a sun for joy connect both star and flower.
The row of birds represents voyages and support to the loved ones, while the big koru shaped by waves and mountains represents a new life on an island, change and stability
