This Polynesian manta tattoo with Hawaiian elements was requested by Clint to represent his daughter Aubree.
An hibiscus flower is central, representing his daughter (the koru symbolizes new life), embraced by the family (the turtle) and protected by the hammerhead shark (the warrior taking care of the family).
The turtle includes the couple, with chasing birds to symbolize how
they will always support her through the good and the bad (the flippers
have waves going in opposite directions to symbolize favorable and
opposing waves).
Her name is included as a maorigram and there are symbols along the name
that represent Hawaii: the lokahi, shark teeth, and volcanoes.
On the other side the braid symbolizes family union, and mountains stability.
The flower of hibiscus is surrounded by the steps of the ancestors and by a sun made of mountains (joy and stability) while two tiki on the sides bring protection on all sides.
